A father and son team, Mike and Micah Brady, licensed California real estate brokers, are consistently top producers in the Santa Ynez Valley in number of transactions as well as in total dollar volume of sales. For their production in 2006, they were inducted into the Prudential California Chairman’s Diamond Circle which acknowledges production in the top 1% of all Prudential Realty real estate agents and brokers nationwide.
Their expertise encompasses all types of real estate in the Santa Ynez Valley and within the immediate area of Santa Barbara County. They have represented buyers and sellers alike in transactions involving single family homes, estates, ranches, horse breeding and training farms, vineyard land and commercial properties. They list and sell properties in all price ranges.
Working as a team for the last nine years allows them to better serve the needs of their clients.
Mike Brady has been active in the real estate profession for over two decades. Mike and his wife, Kathy, were drawn to the Valley’s beauty and lifestyle. He has lived in Santa Barbara County since 1967 and, now an “old timer,” moved to the Valley in 1977. He considers it a privilege to have raised his family here and to, now, watch his son, Micah, raise his family here as well. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1969, he earned a Masters Degree from California State University, Northridge, in 1971.
Micah Brady was born in Santa Barbara and moved to the Valley at age 5. He attended Valley schools, graduating from Santa Ynez High School in 1990 and then, following in his dad’s footsteps, graduated from U.C.S.B. in 1995. Micah became a licensed real estate agent in 1997 and a broker in 2002. Micah, his wife, Ashley, and their two young children, Laker and Fallin, live a life filled with social activities and friends.
Mike and Micah have a strong commitment to giving to and participating in their community. Mike is past President of the Santa Ynez Valley Association of Realtors in 2000 and Micah served in that same capacity in 2004.
Mike served on the Board of Directors of Solvang Theaterfest for 9 years and chaired the organization for two years. Currently, Mike was actively involved in raising the funds to send our local high school drama department’s students to the internationally known Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland, to stage the highly acclaimed play The Circuit. He has been on the board of the Pacific Conservatory For The Performing Arts, the Endowment Committee for the Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital and the Santa Ynez Valley Planned Retirement Community Committee.
Micah is currently Chairman of the Board of the Solvang Theaterfest and was a member of the Steering Committee that has raised to date over $1,500,000 for renovations to the theater facility. Micah was a member of the Blue Print Committee that generated the vision document for the County’s update of the Santa Ynez Valley General Plan. He is a past member of the Santa Ynez Valley Economic Forecast Committee.
Annually, the Brady family gives a scholarship to a local graduating high school senior in memory of their daughter and sister, Anna.
Both Micah and Mike are avid triathletes that love to train in our beautiful Valley. You may see them running or biking on our local roads. They are both members of the local Y.M.C.A. where they swim, spin, “pump iron” and do yoga. Mike has participated in over 19 Wildflower Triathlons (A sure sign that he is getting old!).
